Sannuo 10.1" Kids TabletThe Sannuo 10.1″ Kids Tablet and the Fire HD 10 Kids Edition are both 10’1″ children’s tablets so how do they compare? The screen resolution of the Sannuo tablet is lower than that of the HD 10, only 1280×800 pixels compared to 1920×1220 pixels. Both tablets have protective cases in different colours and both cases come with integral stands.

Both tablets are Android tablets, with the Sannuo running 9.0 Pie out of the box and has access to Google Play. The HD 10 runs Amazon’s own variant of the Android OS, and comes with the Amazon Appstore instead of Google Play.

The Sannuo tablet comes with 16 gigabytes (GB) of internal memory, whilst the HD 10 comes with double that, 32 GB. Both have memory card slots, with the Sannuo taking memory cards up to 128 GB in size whilst the HD 10 will take memory cards up to 512 GB in size. Both tablets come with WiFi, Bluetooth and a micro-USB port.

Both tablets come with front and rear facing cameras. The front facing camera on the Sannuo has a resolution of 2.0 megapixels (MP) and the rear facing one has a resolution of 5.0 MP. Both cameras on the HD 10 have a resolution of 2.0 MP.

The Sannuo tablet comes with third party parental controls from iWawa whilst the HD 10 comes with Amazon’s own parental controls. Both sets allow a parent to control what a child has access to and when they can use the tablet. The HD 10 also comes with a year’s subscription to Amazon FreeTime Unlimited, a subscription service with over 20,000 hand-curated pieces of content suitable for children, including books, games, ebooks, television programmes, films and apps, as well as greater educational capabilities. The battery life of the Sannuo is listed as being 4-5 hours; that of the HD 10 is listed at 12 hours.

In almost every way, the Fire HD 10 Kids Edition is better technically that the Sannuo tablet. It has more memory, more external storage and a better battery life; only the rear-facing camera on the Sannuo is superior. The parental controls on the Amazon tablet are also better, as is the content available from FreeTime Unlimited. The Sannuo 10.1″ Kids Edition is in nearly every way an inferior tablet to the Fire HD 10 Kids Edition.
