The tablet is GMS Certified; GMS stands for Google Mobile Services and GMS Certification means that the tablet, both hardware and software, has passed a variety of tests conducted by Google and certified to run Google’s proprietary apps, such as Google Play, on it.

At 4-5 hours, the stated battery life is at the lower end of what is common in children’s tablets now, meaning it will need access to a source of power more quickly. The screen resolution isn’t at the lower end for a tablet, but isn’t that impressive for a 10.1″ tablet; bigger tablets tend to have better resolution. The resolution of the front-facing camera for a children’s tablet; very few have resolutions that are either higher or lower than that. At 5.0 MP resolution, the rear-facing camera is on the upper end of resolution for a children’s tablet; many have lower resolutions but few currently have higher. The 16 GB of internal memory is also pretty standard now, with few tablets having less, though some have more. The ability to take memory cards up to 128 GB is more unusual in a children’s tablet; few tablets will take memory cards greater than 32 GB, let alone above 64 GB. A quad core processor is now commonplace.

The Kids Tablet doesn’t have any explicit educational uses, as the parental controls just certify that it provides a safe means by which children can learn. There are educational apps that can be downloaded from Google Play, both free and paid, and enabled for use by children, as well as educational websites that can be visited. The Sannuo 10.1″ Kids Tablet isn’t a dedicated educational tablet, nor does it have the same degree of educational use built in as other tablets, but it can still be used for education.

Can Children Play Games on the Sannuo 10.1″ Kids Tablet?

Games are rarely stated to be the primary reason for purchasing a children’s tablet, but they are frequently a secondary one, as a reward if nothing else. The Kids Tablet can be used to play games. With it being an Android tablet with access to Google Play, parents can download apps from the Play Store and enable them for children to use via the parental controls. There are also online games available and parents can add approved websites, again through the parental controls, and allow children to visit them.

Can Children Watch Streaming Video on the Sannuo 10.1″ Kids Tablet?

Streaming media is another secondary use for a children’s tablet, and larger tablets are better suited for this than smaller ones. Does the Sannuo 10.1″ Kids Tablet Have Parental Controls?

Parents want to keep their children safe online, as well as limit the amount of time they spend on a tablet, and parental controls are how this is done. The Kids Tablet comes with third party parental controls provided by iWawa. These allow multiple children’s accounts to be created through the Parental Control interface. Children can customise the appearance of their account.

Using the parental controls, parents can download apps from Google Play and add them to a children’s account to be used. Parents can also add websites they consider to be safe and allow children access. Photos, videos and music may be added to a child’s account in the same way.

Parents may also control the amount of time a child spends on a tablet. They can specify a total amount a tablet can be used per day, the starting and end time during the day during which the tablet can be used, different times during the day when it can be used and the length of time for which a tablet is available and how long it needs to be inactive between uses.

Summing up the Sannuo 10.1″ Kids Tablet

This is a 10.1″ tablet which size is becoming more common in children’s tablets now, even though 7″ is still perhaps the most frequently used. A larger tablet means that it is a better device to watch streaming video and other media on, though the screen resolution is not as high as some similarly-sized tablets, but at the same time it’s also a harder size for smaller hands to hold onto; even with the case and its integral stand, this may be a problem. The 16 GB of internal memory is also in the standard range for children’s tablets, though larger internal memories are becoming more common. Children’s tablets capable of taking memory cards up to 128 GB are rarer, however, with many still being in the 32 GB range. The front camera is fairly standard for a decent front camera; the resolution of the rear camera is on the high end.

The battery life is on the poorer end; it’s not the worst around but it’s far from being the best. Battery lifes are also based on averages, and it might last less than the four hours. Technically, this looks like a pretty average tablet. Some features are better than average, some are worse than average and the parental controls are not the best third-party ones around.
