The LeapPad Ultimate is not an Android tablet, so it doesn’t have access to Android app stores such as Google Play. Instead, it can download content from LeapFrog’s App Center, which will require an internet connection.
The App Center has digital content created by LeapFrog to be suitable for children. The content includes ebooks, videos, interactive storybooks and apps, some of which are games. The material available from the App Center has been designed with education as its primary purpose, and although some content is cheap, many of the apps are quite expensive to purchase. Some of them are available in languages other than English.
The apps also include digital versions of content that is available on LeapFrog cartridges, which is something to bear in mind because the Ultimate’s internal memory is not that high and it lacks a memory card slot.
