Is the LeapPad Ultimate an Android Tablet?

Android, and its variants, is perhaps the most popular mobile operating system in the world. Android tablets often have access to a lot of content from Android app stores, such as Google Play.

The LeapPad Ultimate is, however, not an Android tablet. Instead, its operating system is Brio OS. This means that the Ultimate does not have access to Google Play, the Amazon Appstore or any other Android app store. Instead, all content has to either come from LeapFrog’s App Center or be on a LeapFrog cartridge. This does increase how much content for the Ultimate costs.
