Does the nabi Jr. Come With Parental Controls?

Parental controls are very import for parents who want their children to stay safe online as well as have control over just how much time a child is spending on their tablet.

The nabi Jr. comes with two modes, nabi Mode – for children – and Parent Mode – for parents. The tablet automatically starts in nabi Mode and to access Parent Mode requires a password to be entered. nabi Mode is a kid-safe environment and comes with a number of pre-installed applications, such as the Wings Learning System.

In Parent Mode the Jr. functions more like a regular Android tablet. Parents can download apps from nabi’s store and add them to what their child can use. They can also set time controls and assign rewards – using nabi Coins, a virtual currency, which can be exchanged by children for content in a curated store – for completing chores or educational goals. Parents can therefore control what their child has access to, grant more access if desired and reward good progress or behaviour.
