The Kurio 7S comes with built in WiFi at 802.11 b/g/n.
Whether or not it needs it at any particular point will depend on what it is being used for, but it will work offline.
WiFi is needed for doing anything online, such as visiting an app store and downloading content, surfing the internet, watching streaming videos or YouTube or using Skype for example. Updating apps or the tablet itself will also require an internet connection.
Apps that are on the device that do not require internet access in order to be used – which is the majority of them – will work without WiFi. Videos that have been stored on the tablet can also be watched.
Although many features will work without WiFi enabled, it is necessary to have WiFi in order to set the majority of them up, and to maintain the tablet. If the only WiFi available is in the home, this will be fine for the majority of uses.
