Cameras are a useful component of any tablet. They allow children to take pictures and videos, can be used to interact with some games and apps and can also be used for videochatting, if desired. The resolution of cameras is generally trending up, which does mean that photos and videos take up more memory and need more storage on a tablet or a memory card.
The All-New Fire 7 Kids Edition comes with two cameras, a front facing one and a rear facing one. The front facing camera is a VGA, which usually means 0.3 megapixels (MP) resolution, which isn’t suited to much other than videochatting. The rear camera has a greater resolution, at 2.0 MP. Neither camera’s resolution is really that impressive these days.
