The LeapPad Ultra is aimed at children aged 4 to 9, but is it suitable for older children?
As a child gets older, they are likely to want more access and more freedom to browse the internet than is available on the Ultra. They are also likely to want more apps than can be found in the App Center.
The apps that are available for the LeapPad Ultra do change depending on the age of the child using the tablet, but at some point they are likely to start showing an interest in more advanced tablets with greater flexibility.
Having said that, if they are still happy with the Ultra at age 10, there is no reason not to let them keep using it.
The primary use of the LeapPad Ultra is, though, as an educational toy, and after age 9 there isn’t anything new available to help improve their education. This is a tablet that is most suited for younger children.
