The nabi Elev-8 does come with a protective bumper. This bumper is strengthened at the corners – if a tablet is dropped on a corner, this is the most likely area to break the screen – and comes in one colour, red. The bumper is also removable, so older children can remove it if desired, creating a more grown-up appearing tablet, especially as the Elev-8 is one of the more powerful children’s tablets around. The bumper also has cut-outs for the cameras and various ports.
