One of the apps that comes on the InnoTab MAX is the VTech Kid Connect™, so what is this?
Kid Connect is a communication app designed specifically for kids and families. In order to use Kid Connect, it’s necessary to first register to get an ID. The parent does this by creating a Parent Account and then assigning IDs for Kid Connect to both themselves and their child.
Using Kid Connect, a child can share text and voice messages, drawings and stickers, between the InnoTab MAX, smartphones and other tablets. The basic smartphone Kid Connect app can be downloaded for free, for Android and iOS; the premium version is the one installed on the MAX.
A parent can add or remove contacts from their child’s Kid Connect contact list through the parental controls. The child themselves can also invite other family or friends to join. The app cannot be used to send friend requests from smartphone to smartphone; it only works through InnoTab users, although a friend with a smarthpone can be invited to join through the MAX.
A family group is automatically created for the parent and child, and others can be added. Members of a family group can communicate in a group chatroom, where any member of the group can both read and post messages.
Kid Connect requires subscribing to. The InnoTab MAX comes with one year’s subscription included, as do the smartphone apps.
