The nabi 2S Has Near Field Communication, So What is This?

One of the features on the nabi 2S is that it comes with NFC, so what exactly is this?

NFC stands for Near Field Communication. Like WiFi and Bluetooth, it is a method by which the tablet can communicate with other devices.

With NFC, the nabi 2S can establish radio communication with other devices when they are touched together, or brought into extremely close proximity – a matter of a few inches apart.

This will allow the devices to exchange data. The usage is to a certain degree rather limited, as there aren’t many devices this can be used with, but the nabi 2S is one with which it can be used.
