The Android operating system is the most common OS seen on mobile devices, even though the market may be a little fragmented. If a children’s tablet runs on Android, it will often have access to a lot of content, both free and paid, from app stores such as Google Play and the Amazon Appstore. Running on Android can therefore be a benefit for a tablet.
The nabi Jr. is an Android tablet, running 4.4 KitKat. As well as the basic Android OS, the Jr. also has nabi’s Blue Morpho OS overlay, an overlay of the Android OS that incorporates a host of child-friendly and parent-approved tweaks to the system.
