WiFi is the major way that tablets communicate, with ports being a limited second and Bluetooth a nonessential third. WiFi is not merely useful for a tablet it is, at least at sometimes, absolutely essential for the tablet to function. Internet connectivity is not required all of the time, as tablets can do many things offline, such as use the cameras, play games that don’t require constant internet access (which tends to only be the case with online multiplayer games or certain games that access a remote server) and use downloaded content such as ebooks. Updates and interacting over the internet do require WiFi. The Tagital T7K does, of course, come with WiFi.
