Does the nabi Jr. Come With WiFi and is it Needed to Use the Tablet?

WiFi is an essential component for any tablet, and a primary wireless communication method. Other ways of communicating wirelessly are Bluetooth and Near Field Communication, and ports allow the use of cables.

WiFi allows a tablet to connect to the internet, download content, view streaming videos and videochat. A tablet needs WiFi in order to function correctly, so the nabi Jr. naturally comes with WiFi. Although WiFi is a vital component of any tablet, it is not needed all the time. Apps, games and other content that are stored locally on the tablet do not need WiFi to run, although they may need it for updating, so the Jr. still has some use away from any WiFi hotspots.
