Does the LeapPad Ultimate Have WiFi and is it Needed for it to Work?

WiFi is the primary wireless method by which tablets communicate and connect to the internet. Bluetooth is a different wireless communication method, but WiFi is essential for internet usage, watching streaming content and video chatting. Naturally, the LeapPad Ultimate does come with WiFi, using 802.11 b/g/n.

WiFi is essential for internet access but the LeapPad Ultimate does have features that can be used offline as well. The tablet has a cartridge slot with a library of educational games and material that can be used on the tablet without internet access. Content stored directly on the tablet will typically not require internet access either.
