Streaming media is a popular source of entertainment. The LeapPad Ultimate, not being an Android tablet, does not have access to streaming media apps such as YouTube and Netflix.
In addition, the LeapPad Ultimate has the stringent parental controls seen in much of the LeapFrog range. Rather than having full internet access, the tablet only has access to LeapSearch, which is a very limited search engine that has over 1,000 hand-selected pieces of online content that are child-appropriate. Although this means parents don’t have to set filters, this also means that access cannot be granted to other websites.
Consequently, the Ultimate, as well as not having access to streaming apps, also doesn’t have access to streaming websites such as YouTube.
