Knowing that a tablet is going to be suitable for your child is important to know before purchasing it, and this is no exception.
The iRulu BabyPad Y1 is rather unusual in that it targets ages younger than normally. Most children’s tablets say they are suitable for age three and up; iRulu say that theirs is suitable for age one and up.
This is not so much due to the content that is available, but due to the construction of the tablet itself. It is designed to protect children from electrostatic discharge, it has a low charging voltage and apparently both the battery and the charger are safety certified. iRulu even state that the child-safe casing is non-toxic and safe for babies to chew on! Admittedly, babies should be discouraged from eating electrical items anyway.
The tablet is definitely aimed at the lower, younger end of the market.
