How much memory a tablet has affects how much content can be stored on it. As such as cameras increase in resolution, the amount of memory the resulting videos and photographs take up also increases.
The LeapFrog Epic comes with 16 gigabytes (GB) of internal memory, which is currently still above average for a child’s tablets, many of which only come with 8GB still. 16GB is also effectively more than double 8GB, as part of the built-in memory is always taken up by the operating system and at least a portion, and sometimes all, of every app.
The available storage can also be expanded, as the Epic has a memory card slot which will take microSD cards up to 32GB in size.
