Ports are one of the primary means by which tablets communicate and connect to accessories and other devices, the others being WiFi and Bluetooth.
The LeapFrog Epic has a 3.5mm stereo jack suitable for headphones as well as a micro USB port. It also has a memory card slot, which can expand the available memory using cards up to 32 gigabytes in size. There are also front and rear mounted cameras, a single speaker and a power button on the case, as well as a slot for the stylus. The protective case has cut-outs for the ports where necessary.
Notably, it lacks a cartridge slot, meaning that old LeapFrog cartridges are not compatible with this tablet.
