The Kurio 7 and the Kurio 7S are both Android tablets targeted at children manufactured by Kurio. The Kurio 7 is the older version that has since been superseded by the 7S. Although it is still supported, it is not as widely available and no longer directly available from the manufacturer.
Both have a 7″ touchscreen, but the 7’s is only 800×480 pixels in resolution, compared to the 1024×600 of the 7S. The 7S touchscreen is also reinforced and multi-touch.
Both tablets run Android as the operating system, but the 7 has 4.03 and the 7S 4.2 (Jellybean).
The Kurio 7 has a built in memory of 4GB compared to the 7S’s 8GB. The Micro SD Card on the 7 can be used to expand it to 32GB; that on the 7S will expand the tablet’s memory to 40GB.
Both tablets have a 3.5″ headphone jack, a built in microphone, Micro SD Card slot, 0.3 megapixel front facing and 2.1 megapixel rear facing cameras. The 7S has a high speed Micro USB port that also is used as a charger; the Kurio 7 has a Mini USB port and a separate DC charger port. The 7S has two front-facing speakers, whilst the 7 has a single top speaker. The Kurio 7S also has a Micro HDMI port for connecting to televisions.
The Kurio 7S is a more powerful, more advanced and improved upgrade to the earlier Kurio 7 tablet.
