If your LeapPad Ultra won’t turn on – perhaps it is showing a blank screen – it is possible that this may be fixed using your PC or Mac. First, though, you should check that it is actually charged and the problem isn’t just a flat battery. If there’s a problem with the battery not taking a charge, the tablet may still work when connected to the mains using the AC adapter.
There is free software available from LeapFrog, LeapFrog Connect, that can be installed on your personal computer. The Ultra itself can be connected to the computer using the included USB cable.
Once fully connected to your computer, there is a Settings tab in the software. In the LeapPad Ultra tab are several options, Reset, Repair and Check for Upgrades. The Repair tab may be able to fix your tablet.
Always make sure that you follow LeapFrog’s recommended procedures when operating the Leapfrog Connect software.
