Bluetooth is one of the ways in which electronic devices communicate with each other. Bluetooth can allow a tablet to be wirelessly connected to other suitable devices, including such as loudspeakers. Whilst Bluetooth isn’t essential for a tablet’s functioning, and many come without it, it is a useful extra that expands the range of options available.
The Sprout Channel Cubby does come with Bluetooth, as well as the more standard WiFi, enabling it to be paired with other Bluetooth-enabled devices, such as phones and tablets as well as peripherals such as the previously mentioned loudspeakers. The Bluetooth facility can be switched off when it isn’t needed; useful, as it can drain the battery faster otherwise.
