The Fire HD 10 Kids Edition comes with parental controls as part of Amazon FreeTime Unlimited. Using the parental controls, parents can limit the amount of time a child spends on their tablet, add educational goals and choose which content children have access to. Up to four profiles can be created for different children.

FreeTime Unlimited is curated and only contains hand curated and age-appropriate content. In FreeTime, children do not have access to social media or Alexa, and in-app purchases must be approved by a parent. Through the Parental Dashboard, parents can add more apps and games that children are allowed to use, and alter and adjust the different settings.
