Can Google Play Be Used on the Fire HD 10 Kids Edition?

Google Play is the biggest app store around and certainly the biggest for Android tablets. However, the Fire HD 10 Kids Edition is not a pure Android tablet, instead running on Amazon’s own version of the Open Source operating system.

Google Play cannot be easily installed on the tablet, and for most users it is simpler to say it can’t be installed. Instead, the HD10 has access to the Amazon Appstore, Amazon’s own app store which sells a wide range of apps of all types.
